Operational guidelines for re-opening pubs published

June 2020

Fáilte Ireland has published operational guidelines for the safe re-opening of pubs (which include pubs, gastro pubs and bars) on the 29th June. Following industry consultation, a set of detailed and practical guidelines to prepare activity tourism businesses to reopen safely have been developed. All of the principles in these guidelines are underpinned by advice made available from the HSA, HSE, FSAI, WHO and other relevant bodies. The operational guidelines will be regularly updated in line with Government public health advice as and when this advice evolves.  This includes any further guidance that is given following work by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre & National Public Health Emergency Team on the application of the existing social distancing requirements in specific, defined and controlled environments in the hospitality industry during periods of low incidence of the disease.
